Data Transfer (Bandwidth) Pooling

Last updated on Mar 02, 2026

At Onidel Cloud, customers with multiple cloud servers benefit from automatic data-transfer pooling. This feature consolidates each server's data transfer allowance into a shared pool, giving you a combined, service-wide data limit.

How it Works

  • Each server's data usage is tracked individually.

  • The data transfer allowance from each server in the same region is accumulated into a shared pool, allowing flexible usage across all these servers.

  • If one server reaches its individual limit, additional data usage is automatically drawn from the remaining allowance in the shared pool.

Once the shared pool is fully used, any additional data used by hourly-billed cloud servers will be billed as excess at USD $0.01 per GB. Subscription-based cloud servers will be capped at 5Mbps.

You can also purchase additional bandwidth at $3.5/TB.

Data Transfer Pooling is only applicable to Virtual Machines and does not include the egress allocation of Onidel Object Storage instances within the same region.

Regions

There are currently 3 bandwidth pooling regions:

  • Asia Pacific (APAC) - Australia, Singapore, Vietnam

  • Europe - The Netherlands

  • North America - USA

Usage Stats

You can view and monitor the bandwidth usage/allocation of each region from Onidel Cloud panel by navigating to Bandwidth Usage, then selecting the region.

Below you can see the total Pool (total traffic available in this region) and current Usage bars.

Below it you can see the total contribution to allocation of each Virtual Machine you have in the given region. In this example, there are two VMs, each one contributing 1TB traffic to the pool.

And at the bottom, the per VM usage stats within the region. Here despite the location of the VMs being different, they are still accounted in the same region (APAC).
